The Laryngoplasty

Laryngoplasty is an operation to restore the normal lumen of the larynx. After injury and some diseases of the larynx, a narrowing of its lumen may occur, requiring surgical treatment. The operation is performed by splitting the cartilages of the larynx, excision of scars, closing the defects of the mucous membrane, after which a T-shaped rubber tube is inserted into the restored laryngeal cavity (see Bouges, otorhinolaryngological) for its final formation. Not free flaps can be applied to plastics of a mucous membrane of a throat. With its extensive destruction, the mucous membrane of the initial part of the esophagus is also used , after which a special pneumatic fixator-immobilizer is inserted into the created lumen of the larynx.
