Go Morbidity

Morbidity - the easiest degree of oligophrenia . Morons are capable of school and vocational training in special schools and institutions, since they need greater visibility, a slow pace of learning, and frequent repetition to learn and memorize school and any other material. They can acquire a sufficient stock of knowledge that always remains isolated, without interconnection. The vocabulary of morons is considerable. However, their speech is characterized by the frequent use of memorized, "stamped" expressions, the content of which they are often poorly understood. The events of life around morons perceive extremely one-sided, unable to navigate in difficult or unusual situations for them. Attractions can be either reduced or significantly increased. In the latter case, this often leads the patient to wrong and even criminal actions. With a skillful, multi-year, patience and endurance education and leadership, morons adapt to life and can master an uncomplicated profession.

Debility is a relatively mild degree of oligophrenia. Decrease in mental development is not so sharply expressed, therefore, morons are capable of learning. In an ordinary school, morons cannot learn, because, due to the lack of abstract thinking and the slowness of mental processes, they need greater clarity, a slow pace of learning, and frequent repetition to master and memorize educational material. The sound pronunciation and articulation of the words are unsharply broken. The vocabulary of words may be sufficient, but it is distinguished by a tendency to use memorized expressions, “speech stamps,” the content of which morons are often poorly understood. Their judgments are primitive, conclusions are insufficient.

The development of emotions in morons reaches a higher degree than that of imbeciles, but the differentiation of emotions is much lower than that of mentally normal children. The behavior of morons largely depends on the prevailing emotions and desires and the ability to control them. Environmental conditions are of great importance. With the right upbringing and leadership, morons can adapt to life, master an uncomplicated profession. In adverse conditions, they are easily influenced by bad influences due to increased suggestibility.
