Traube space is a section in the lower anterior part of the chest, above which a tympanic sound is determined during percussion . The right edge of the Traube space is the liver , the left is the spleen and the upper is the diaphragm. Space Traube corresponds to the gas bubble of the stomach.
Reduction of space Traube is observed with left-sided exudative pleurisy (see), scyrrotic form of gastric cancer, enlarged liver and spleen, subdiaphragmatic abscess (see). It can be enlarged when the diaphragm is high.
