B - a list of potent drugs that should be stored with caution, separately from other drugs. List B is given in the Pharmacopoeia , it is supplemented and modified by orders of the USSR Ministry of Health. List B includes medicinal raw materials, galenic (extracts, tinctures) and novogalenovy preparations, ready-made drugs containing alkaloids and their salts, chloroform and ether , strong acids (hydrochloric, nitric , sulfuric), hypnotics , antipyretic, analgesic, anesthetic , heart remedies , sulfa drugs , sex hormones , some vitamins.

List B drugs, as well as ready-made products containing them, should be stored in pharmacies and medical institutions in separate cabinets with the inscription "B - Heroica" (potent).

Preparations containing potent drugs at therapeutic doses are stored with conventional medications. The rules of storage, accounting and distribution of potent funds are set out in the order of the USSR Ministry of Health No. 523 of July 3, 1968.

B - a list of potent drugs. It is prescribed by the pharmacopoeia and is supplemented and modified by orders of the USSR Ministry of Health. List B drugs and ready-made products containing them are stored in pharmacies in separate cabinets, locked at night, with the inscription “B - Herois” - potent. Cabinets B must also be kept in the departments and offices of medical institutions for the storage of finished drugs with potent drugs in their pure form and in the form of injection solutions (ready-made drugs with potent drugs as ingredients are stored in therapeutic doses with ordinary drugs).

List B generally includes medicinal raw materials and galenic (tinctures, extracts) and novogalenovy drugs, as well as ready-made drugs (in pill form, in ampoules) containing alkaloids and their salts, chloroform and ether, strong acids (hydrochloric, nitric, sulfuric ), hypnotics, antipyretic, analgesic, anesthetic and cardiac drugs, sulfonamides, sex hormones, some vitamins.
