Kidney decapsulation is the operation to remove the fibrous capsule of the kidney. Decapulation of the kidney is indicated for uremia, anuria, for lead poisoning and sublimate, acute pustular pyelonephritis . Kidney decapsulation is often combined with other kidney operations.
