Go Dihydroergotoxin (Dihydroergotoxinum)


Dihydroergotoxin (Dihydroergotoxinum; list B ) is an adrenolytic agent. Available in the form of dihydroergotoxin methanesulfonate and ethanesulfonate dihydroergotoxin (redergam). Applied with hypertension , eclampsia , disorders of the peripheral circulation ( endarteritis , Raynaud's disease , etc.), angina pectoris , spasms of cerebral vessels (spastic migraine, etc.). Treatment begins with 5 drops 3 times a day and, increasing the dose daily by 2-3 drops, adjusted to 20-40 drops 3 times a day. In severe cases, dihydroergotoxin is injected under the skin or into the muscles, starting with 0.5 ml and bringing to 0 ml of a 0.03% solution once a day. To prevent orthostatic collapse (see), patients should, after injection of dihydroergotoxin, lie for at least 2 hours. Contraindicated in hypotension , severe atherosclerosis, organic heart disease, myocardial infarction , renal dysfunction, in old age. Method of production: 0.1% solution in vials of 10 ml and 0.03% solution in 1 ml ampoules.
