Diplacin (Diplacinum; List B ) is a curare-like remedy. Applied in surgery to relax the muscles and turn off the breath. For intubation, diplacine is administered intravenously at the rate of 1.5-2 mg per 1 kg of body weight, and 3 mg per 1 kg of weight is used to turn off spontaneous breathing. The highest dose (single and daily) is 25 ml of a 2% solution (with artificial respiration ). Antagonist diplacin is prozerin . Product form: 2% solution in 5 ml ampoules.
