Disinfectants are devices for spraying disinfectants (solutions, powders), as well as various devices (machinists, mechanical means, etc.) used for disinfection and disinsection . The main units of many disinfectants are: tank, pump, nozzle. There are disinfection devices with manual and mechanical drives. When disinfecting premises, sprayers of “Avtomaks” type AO-2 (Fig. 1), hydraulic controls and “Desinfal” (Fig. 2) are used. "Automax" and "Disinfal" are similar in structure and operation, they differ only in shape and size. Under the pressure of air pumped into the tank, the liquid, passing through the nozzle, is sprayed. Spraying of insecticide solutions is also produced by aerosol cans (Fig. 3) under the vapor pressure of an evaporated mixture of freons.Go
The mechanically driven disinfecting devices include the low-pressure nebulizer RND1-P (Fig. 4). The air injected with a vacuum cleaner captures the liquid, and through the nozzle and the guide cap it comes out in the form of a fine torch.

Large rooms and areas of the terrain are treated with an MRZ-2 type sprayer. The sprayer has an internal combustion engine and gear pump. Sprayer MRZh-2 and the combined disinfection unit KDU are driven by a motor-type saw, and the automobile sprayer, a mounted NAO-2, is powered by a GAZ-51 or GAZ-63 car. Sprayers are equipped with needle nozzles. RZH-2 is mounted on a cargo scooter (Fig. 5). KDU - installation combining sprayer and pollinator. The motor shaft is alternately connected to a hydraulic head-pump with a comb or a device for spraying powders - a fan with nozzles. In the first case, the sprayer works, in the second - the pollinator. Mounted on a motorcycle (Fig. 6).
After using disinfecting devices should be washed with clean water through a spray device. During breaks in work for more than 1-2 days, the devices are lubricated with mineral oil. At least twice a month, the piston cuff is also recommended to lubricate. Store disinfectants in dry heated rooms. For air disinfection in infectious diseases hospitals, operating theaters, etc., it is recommended to apply ultraviolet irradiation with lamps of the type CCV or mercury-quartz lamps of high pressure. Lamps are fitted with visors to protect the eyes and skin from radiation. As a rule, exposure of premises should be carried out in the absence of people.
Disinfectant steam disinfectants are used to beat infected linen by boiling in a soap and soda solution (Fig. 7). Buchilnik is a wooden or metal vessel with two lids opening alternately, which excludes the simultaneous loading of contaminated and unloading of clean linen. Heating of water in the killer lasts 30— 40 min. Boiling from the moment of boiling water - 30 minutes. With infections caused by spore-forming microorganisms, the boiling time of laundry is increased to one to two hours. Anchors are usually installed in the opening of the partition dividing the premises into “dirty” and “clean” halves. In the "dirty" half load clothes, in the "clean" - unload.
Mechanical means of extermination of flies: crackers, glass and net flycatchers, which are supplied with various baits. Glass flycatchers are installed in residential premises, netting ones - on the covers of dustbins, cesspools, etc.
