Diskeratosis is a disorder of the normal process of keratinization of the epidermis, in which the cells of the malpighian layer (see. Skin) undergo premature, abnormal keratinization. Dyskeratosis is observed in a number of dermatoses . There is a benign form (with Darya's disease, chronic benign familial pemphigus , contagious mollusk, etc.) and malignant, accompanied by atypical mitoses (with Bowen's disease, spinocellular carcinoma, etc.).
